This acoustic slab is a flexible, durable, and versatile solution that combines a Class 0 fire rating with superior sound absorption capabilities. Its higher mass provides additional dampening benefits, effectively reducing vibrations in metal sheets and enhancing overall acoustic performance. The slab is constructed from a flexible open cell polyurethane polyether material, ensuring durability and consistent performance.
The Siderise FR Retardant Acoustic Slab with Adhesive Backing is a state-of-the-art insulation product that delivers superior acoustic performance while meeting stringent fire safety requirements. Designed for high-demand construction environments, this slab features an integrated self-adhesive backing, enabling clean, fast, and secure installation—without the need for mechanical fixings or additional adhesives.
Made from dense, non-combustible mineral wool, this slab excels in sound absorption, significantly reducing airborne noise transfer between rooms, floors, and service areas. Its acoustic properties make it ideal for applications where noise control is essential, such as commercial offices, education buildings, healthcare facilities, hotels, and multi-unit residential developments.
Beyond its acoustic capabilities, the Siderise FR slab also offers exceptional fire resistance, helping to limit the spread of fire and smoke in the event of an incident. It supports compartmentation strategies within buildings and contributes to overall passive fire protection compliance. With a fire classification of Class 0 fire rating (BS476 part 6&7) it ensures peace of mind in even the most demanding environments.
The addition of a high-performance adhesive backing further enhances the slab’s usability, especially in installations where speed and cleanliness are critical. This feature allows for direct bonding to clean surfaces such as plasterboard, masonry, metal, or wood, making it particularly suited to retrofit applications, hard-to-reach areas, and complex geometries where traditional fixings may be challenging.
The Siderise FR Retardant Acoustic Slab offers excellent sound absorption and vibration dampening properties. It meets FMVSS302 (automotive) and UL94 HF1 (electrical equipment) standards, ensuring reliable performance across various applications. The product's thermal insulation capabilities further enhance its versatility, making it suitable for both acoustic and thermal management.
The Siderise FR Retardant Acoustic Slab is designed for easy installation, thanks to its adhesive backing. Simply peel off the protective layer and apply the slab to the desired surface. Ensure the surface is clean and dry for optimal adhesion. The flexible nature of the material allows it to conform to various shapes and surfaces, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
