The 75mm Kingspan Kooltherm K103 Floor Insulation Board is a high-quality thermal insulation solution designed for various floor buildups, including insulating beam and block concrete floors. It has a thermal conductivity of only 0.018 W/mK, making it the most thermally efficient product available on the market. This insulation board consists of a rigid thermoset phenolic core sandwiched between glass tissue facings, making it lightweight and easy to handle. It is also environmentally friendly, with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP). Each board covers 2.88m2 of floor space and has an indefinite lifespan.
With its excellent thermal efficiency and ease of handling, the Kingspan Kooltherm K103 Floor Insulation Board is a premium choice for improving the energy efficiency of homes and reducing energy bills in the long run. We offer a range of thickness options from 25mm to 150mm to suit different insulation needs.
The Kingspan Kooltherm K103 Floor Insulation Board features a fibre-free rigid thermoset phenolic core with a glass tissue facing on each side. With a thermal conductivity of 0.018 W/mK, it is the top choice for thermal performance. It provides superior protection against heat loss compared to PIR insulation. The phenolic core is also water-resistant, ensuring durability and resistance to rot and fungi.
The Kingspan Kooltherm K103 Floor Insulation Board is intended for installation under concrete floor slabs, screed, or timber floors. While installing insulation under floorboards is less complex than in pitched roofs, it is crucial to ensure secure and correct installation. It is important to inspect the space under the floorboards for any rot or structural issues. The boards can be placed between the floor joists, and it is recommended to use equipment to secure them. Consulting a professional before starting insulation projects is always advisable.
The Kingspan Kooltherm K103 Floor Insulation Board is manufactured to the highest standards and is certified under ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems), and ISO 50001:2018 (Energy Management Systems). Additionally, its use is covered by BBA Certificate 16/5299.
Kingspan is a leading manufacturer of rigid thermoset insulation materials. The Kooltherm K103 Floor Insulation Board is produced using an environmentally-friendly blowing agent with zero ODP and low GWP.
