Installation
The tongue and groove design of these boards consists of a 'tongue' edge and a precisely engineered 'groove' gap. When installing the boards, the tongue edge fits perfectly into the groove, making the installation process easy. For added security, the boards can also be glued or fastened with screws or nails (referred to as 'secret nailing').
Thanks to the resin binders and wax used in its manufacturing process, OSB sheet material is tolerant of moisture and humidity. While OSB2 is only suitable for dry conditions, OSB3 can withstand more challenging conditions. However, if you plan to use it permanently outdoors, it is recommended to add further weather protection. This can be done by applying weather-proof exterior paint followed by a wood waterproofing sealant. Allow sufficient drying time before installation, and a second coat may be applied if necessary.
Certifications
The 18mm OSB 3 Tongue & Groove Flooring Board carries FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certifications. These certifications ensure that the board is sourced from responsibly managed forests and meets strict environmental and social standards.
